BEEN: After stops as a label designer in Idaho Falls, a lead designer for a creative studio in Durango, Colorado, art director and managing editor for a tourism magazine and then on to an art director position for an advertising agency in Colorado Springs, Colorado, I jumped full-time into the life of a solo freelance in 1994. I now reside in a quiet rural valley in Southeast Idaho with my wife, two daughters and a small herd of macs. DONE: I've always been an avid student of innovation, creativity and marketing and have sought out a fascinating variety of projects. What kind of things have I done? Advertising: Wide range of tourism-centric advertising and strategic creative for various destination properties and tax-funded tourism associations. Also ads for government entities, non-profit organizations, theater and arts groups, insurance, law and service professionals, authors, software companies and more. Advertising was produced in the form of print, audio/visual, promotional products, and the internet. Wearables: Graphics for bike jerseys, tee shirts, caps, uniforms. Direct Mail: Catalogs, seminar brochures and cards, non-profit fundraising pieces, postcards. Publishing: Extensive magazine work, including titling and title graphics, covers, media kits, blow-in cards. Book covers as well as design and typesetting of complete books. Business Image: Logo design and stationary packages for businesses of all stripes and flavors--from corporations to organizations to service individuals. Corporate Communications: Production of the full spread of business communications, including brochures, catalogs, mailers, sell-sheets, vehicle graphics, billboards, signage, print ads, television spots, websites, annual reports, workbooks and instruction manuals, forms, labels, packaging, and more. Illustration: Produced numerous illustrations for book and magazine covers, editorial articles, advertising, logos, sports teams, websites and corporate print communication of all types. Copywriting: Written headlines and copy for brochures, websites, mailers, print ads, book jackets, invitations.
